Horsemanship Program

INTRODUCTION

Silhouette Stables' Lois Banks has been certified by the American Riding Instructors Program (ARIP) since 1991, and is knowledgeable in instructing students in a safe and professional manner.

Our Horsemanship Program will provide you with the opportunity to become a well rounded equestrian, not just a good rider.  At Silhouette Stables, we specialize in teaching young riders the art of balanced seat riding from the basics up through the intermediate level.  Our fun, innovative, and unique program explores a wide range of horse-related activities, both mounted and non-mounted.

Safety is our top priority and is the foundation upon which all our lessons are taught. Our staff of 20 horses and ponies are patient and skilled teachers who love their work. We offer a variety of programs and special activities for our students. You can choose which one suits you best.

Silhouette Stables offers lesson for beginners to advanced riders, and include programs specially designed for youth and/or the young at heart. Safety is our top priority and is the foundation upon which all our horsemanship lessons are taught.

Lessons are conducted rain or shine. In cases of poor weather, the stables will conduct indoor non-mounted lessons to further educate our students in all areas of horsemanship. Lessons are NEVER cancelled due to bad weather.

Missed lessons will not be made-up without a 4-hour notice that the rider will not be attending. Make-up lessons may be NON-MOUNTED, and are scheduled as needed. No make-ups for a fifth lesson in your bonus month or for lessons not attended due to poor weather.
